Rocket presents Unknown Onward Drawn – Part 2 – The Departure posted at The Rocketman’s Change For A Dollar, saying, “Part 2 of a fantasy story I began writing in June. The initial post was not intended to produce a serial, but a recent re-visitation sparked a few ideas, and so I’ll be working at this one for a while. Enjoy!”

Since September, the statue is now at the base of the steps.

So I decided to ask the man who might know, Sylvester Stallone.

Why? I asked him.

Rocky Sly says, It’s better where it is — at the base of the steps. At the top was the completion — the end — but it’s not the completion that counts — it’s the journey. The Effort; The Passion.”

A Whole New World of Jewelry Making Options

Layering, Casting, and Mixed Media Techniques for Creating Vintage to Contemporary Designs
The Art of Resin Jewelry: Layering, Casting, and Mixed Media Techniques for Creating Vintage to Contemporary Designs

I just ran across this book and have been hearing a lot of buzz about making jewelry with resin. I made some resin paperweights and such when I was a kid, but haven’t given it any thought since then. I Think it’s time to get re-acquainted with resin. This book has inspired me. Check it out!  You might be inspired by it too.  :-)

Fire Mountain Gems is Now Totally Assortable!

Everyone’s favorite source for jewelry making supplies, Fire Mountain Gems, has just changed their assortability process. Instead of each type of product having its own assortability, we can now assort everything together. This makes it so much easier to know how quantities will affect costs, and ends the confusion, once and for all.

I say, this is a great day for jewelry makers! Let’s all go and show them how much we appreciate it! :-)

Three Woven Bead Bracelets

Three Woven Bead Bracelets

These three woven bead bracelets get tons of attention and compliments every time I wear them! It took many hours to make each of them, but they are definitely worth it!

Perhaps I should make some to sell…? ;-)
